Formed in 1983, Whitstable Twinning Association has developed close partnerships  with six partner towns in Europe and has links to a further four. The WTA is independent and self funding and encourages visits to Whitstable from our partner towns. In return, WTA members are invited abroad by our european hosts. The visits also include school exchanges, sports teams travelling each way, and local professionals such as the Fire Service and the Police meeting up with their opposite numbers.

We believe that through ‘People in Partnership’ everyone’s lives are enriched.

In Whitstable, the WTA has a full programme of social events and talks to fundraise for the future visits and hosting.
